Freedom At Last!

One rarely celebrates death but this case truly deserves it! In her death she achieved freedom long denied to her. Nobody could give her justice for over four decades. Death has delivered her the ultimate justice. If an unparalleled act of humanity kept her away from being declared officially dead, a rather callous policy framework made her stay in vegetation all this while. Not to take anything away from the commitment shown by her colleagues, her life remained hostage to a few tired pipes ever since a criminal masquerading as a ward boy snuffed life out of her 42 years ago. In her death Aruna Shanbaug has a silent prayer on her lips. Isn’t right to die as important as right to live? For four decades we have struggled for an answer. Time we say firm NO to an artificial life.
