Thank God it is over! One of the most fiercely fought elections has finally come to an end. The campaign turned ugly as development issue took a back seat with caste and individual egos being key drivers. Good news is democracy has already won given the impressive voter turnout led by greater women voters attendance. Now all eyes are on November 8 (not trusting exit polls much). The campaign acrimony must give way to healthy collaboration between the rulers of Bihar and New Delhi. This must happen irrespective of color of the alliance that makes it on Sunday. If NDA wins, development will without doubt get a boost. A handsome Nitish alliance win will pull the state closer to the Centre rather than distance them. Nitish & Modi might continue to be sworn enemies but remember both owe their political identity to pushing development agenda.
