Gone are the days when your date with your favourite possession remained within the confines of your dimly lit study. Cut to Circa 2015: porn is all over; available freely (or at a modest cost) on a billion mobile phone screens of India. Porn watching thus is no longer a luxury but a staple diet for a billion plus population constantly in search of a new high. Technology is a great leveler. Watching porn has come out from the closet raising fundamental questions on its impact on the society at large. In absence of any moderation, the impressionable young minds are at high risk to seek sex come what may. A blanket ban is no solution for it takes away the freedom an adult enjoys under the constitution. Technology has abetted spread of porn. It must now help moderate it.
